Question: Turn signal rear light out

Right turn signal makes rapid clicking sound and tail light does not flash. Have replaced bulb without change. On occasion it works right for a time, especially when it's cold out, then quits.

    It could be that the socket has a problem. The rapid clicking is usually due to the lower resistance that makes the flasher operate twice as fast, because there is only 1 bulb of resistance. When there are 2 bulbs, the current flow is spread between 2 bulbs and it takes longer for the bi-metal flasher element to heat up and click.
