Lincoln Mark VIII Problem Report
Lincoln Mark VIII Turn Off Air Suspension System Before Jacking/Lifting Vehicle
Prior to jacking or lifting a vehicle with air suspension, you must turn off the suspension switch. The switch is generally located in the trunk or on the right side of the passenger foot well.
The automatic suspension failed several times until one time while driving the freeway, the suspension failed completely and I was forced to pull the car off the freeway and call a tow truck. My mechanic advised that I install regular shocks on the vehicle in order to circumvent any repetition of the initial problem. It cost me $400 to have this service performed and, to date, I never received a recall, or notification of the problem from Ford. - Visitor
