if i have the battery jumpstart it will run. i had the battery checked and was told it was good and fully charged.but every time i turn it off the truck off and try to start it it will not start

MasterDo you hear even a faint click from the starter? The contacts and plunger withing the starter fail. The starter is difficult to change in this engine.

b52crewchief January 22, 2011, 12:18ReplyRookieI had the same problem, then I left the key in the on position and put gear in neutral, and it started. I believe the problem with mine may be the Neutral safety switch, or linkage from shift lever to tranny. Try to start in neutral, if it starts then we have same issue.
