truck will not start on 1996 Toyota Tacoma

the ignition switch was left on over night.next morning we charge the battery and now the truck will not start.before the key was left on the truck ran great

how old is the battery? it may just be bad after going completely dead

new this isnot the first time my son killed the battery so installed a new one last mounth
