Your fuel system LIFT PUMP (Transfer Pump) is probably failing. These have been replaced by an IN-TANK Fuel Pump assembly. When troubleshooting an In-Tank Fuel Transfer Pump installed on a 1998.5 - 2004 Diesel Ram, be sure to use the 2005 model year diagnostic manual. Fuel pump flow, NOT PRESSURE is the indicator of a good or bad fuel pump.
