truck is backfiring and losing power going up a hill and then shut off on 1995 Dodge Dakota

Put dry gas in it and it is still doing the same. What is causing this

Stop creating problems. There's very few mechanics in a bottle. My guess is a distributor hall effect plate. Do you have any check engine light on? I've some suggestions for you. Contact me at jmgrhm30@gmail.com

no. It will go then all of a sudden it will start back firing and then lose power
