2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question: truck has no power in drive at first till i get speed but in low it takes off ok

we look at the brakes to make sure they wernt stuck

    Its hard to guess without experiencing the problem first hand to see if it is an engine issue or transmission issue. The Check Engine Light should be on if there was an engine problem, lack of fuel pressure ect..... should bring on an a Check Engine Light so my guess would be transmission issue.
