The transmission control module is at the drivers left foot panel. It controls the shift functions of the transmission taking into account the values and information it receives from sensors. There are several service bulletins from Kia regarding relearn and reprogramming. Kia as a car manufacturer put a lot of great technical information and work shop manuals on line for free for Kia owners.
