transmssion on 2000 Chrysler LHS

thanks to Valleytech and Matte. I checked the shifter it's ok. When I try to shift it seems that the cable is binding up. Any other thoughts? Can I lube the cable, or could it be the trans linkage?

I find that the best thing to do is to replace the shift cable for this type of problem. it is usually frayed inside the cable housing and lubrication, does almost nothing. it is also somewhat common on Chrysler vehicles. I have replaced a few. I am assuming that the trans checked out a-ok. Best of Luck
