Recently I've noticed my shift tower getting "warm" to the touch while driving. Any ideas as to why? Thank you in advance,

Something producing heat is usually caused by lack of lubrication, have the transmission oil level checked and see that no insulation or sound deadening material has become displaced or has deteriorated. I am not familiar enough with BMW to tell you of a known problem, I hope someone else may respond if there is a BMW specific problem.

Hi Mr Mannion, you give good advice unlike some others.
I have a fuel pump problem on a 94 BMW 530i I suspect
something else beside the relay .Before changing the pump which is
really expensive , I will like to jump the relay first.
Kindly walk me through the process
