1995 Toyota Camry Q&A

1995 Toyota Camry Question: Transmisssion fluid leaking

Is the replacement of GASKETS EXPENSIVE. hOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REPLACE THEM? -
Answer 1
It depends where the leak is from, the front oil seal inside the bell housing requires removing the transmission being removed to replace it, it is 8 to 9 hours work. The transmission has an oil pan at the bottom of the transmission perhaps the gasket is leaking that would take an hour to replace. The oil pan has a drain plug gasket, if it is leaking it would take 15 minutes to replace. The transmission may have to be washed down or at least put on a lift to pin point the source of the leak to properly give an estimate to repair. -
