I have a 2000 Honda Civic. The "check engine" light was on, so I took it to a shop. They ran a computer diagnostic and said that the transmission solenoid pack needs to be replaced. They quoted me $700 to replace it. How much does it usually cost to get the solenoid pack replaced?

Superbob February 22, 2011, 19:12ReplyMasterA solenoid pack is a fairly expensive item. Prices for the service vary depending on locality and who's doing the work. You could call around other shops to get other prices. Try transmission shops and Honda specialists.

MasterI have seen Honda transmission codes set for solenoids but is a sign of debris gone through the transmission requiring an overhaul. Common enough failure several service bulletins.
