2001 Dodge Ram 3500 24 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel 4x4. It feels like the transmission slips when driving around 45-55 mph, with or without OD. Tranny filter and fluid changed. Truck also has a Dyno Power chip. What could cause this? Could it be a throttle position sensor or idle position sensor? Or could the clutches just be burned up?

IN MY 2001 3500 RAM AUTO TRANS. DID THE SAME THING BUT MY TRANS CAME LOOSE AND LOCKED INTO LOW RANGE WHILE GOING 60 MILES AN HOUR AND WOULD NOT GO BACK INTO OVERDRIVE. BLEW TRANS FLUID ALL OVER THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND STOPPED. BATTERIES AND CONNECTIONS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS PROBLEM. RE-BUILD WITH SHIFT KIT HEAVY DUTY TORQUE CONVERTOR,AND PUMPS. REPAIRED,REPLACED @ $3500.00. GOOD LUCK WITH YOURS.MINE SUCKED!. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ALLISON TRANS?.
