In very cold weather ( 15 degrees and below), even when the engine is warm the transmission will shift with difficulties. Sometimes it will also down shift as soon as I press the Gas.Any ideas out there?

    Check transmission fluid level.
    U must use proper methods {procedures} when checking the fluid level especially for auto transmission..
    i.e. drive the vehicle for at least 5-10 miles.
    before U stop the car shift the gear manual thru all gear detents { put gear in R N D 1 2 3 etc. }
    Then in Park , don't stop the engine / Now open the hood & Pull the transmission. level dipstick check the fluid is between low { cold } & full { hot } marks.
    don't over fill & don't keep it below low { ADD } mark.
    both extreme hurt the transmission.

    Hope it helps.
