Question: transmission replacement

 Rookie

my son needs a standard transmission on his car replaced. he only had it 2 months with a 1 month warranty in place from small dealer. does he have any recourse against he dealer and what is a fair price to fix this.

    the dealer should have known about this problem b4 he sold you this car.if it is indeed a gearbox failure some advance warning would have been evident to anybody who drove this car.Replacement cost will be high because its a svt model.go to a tranny shop and they can give you the bad news.

    Ford Had a TSB Tech service Bulliten on the trans. I got mine replaced for free along with the whole clutch setup. Check with local Ford dealer to see if it was completed. Warranty charge was over 6k for the trans
