2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Question: transmission replace

Are you talking about the shift cable? Are you sure it is routed the same way it was before replacing the transmission?

I just had to replace my cable because it was bound up. 4 weeks later the transmission goes out. My suggestion is get rid of that money pit Chrysler while you can. I got a new PT Cruiser in 2001 when they first came out. Under my bad judgment because I had a Chrysler product before and said never again. In the first 20,000 miles it needed brakes, at 25,000 it needed a new transmission (under warranty Thank Goodness!) at $75,000 overheated and warpped the head, at $80,000 the wheels began leaking air slowly due to the cheap aluminum wheels with chrome coating the bead on the tire wont seat on the wheel (had to buy new wheels). Just one thing after another. It now has 150,000 miles on it and I am ready to give this money pit away. Chrysler is junk!
