2000 Acura TL Question: transmission QA

Your Acura's transmission is controlled by a computer. The computer activates shift solenoids to shift the gears in the trans. When the transmission won't shift properly, it's usually an issue with the transmission and not the computer that controls it. I have seen some issues with wiring, but it's rare. Most of the time it's a problem with the transmission. The trans could have any number of issues from a solenoid problem to an internal issue that requires transmission replacement. It's probably best to have a qualified technician look at the issue for you.
