transmission problems on 1998 Dodge Caravan

transmission (220,000 miles)makes a whinning noise, will not change gears the faster i drive the higher the RPM's, starting the leak fluid what could be the problem.

probaby just worn out. average life is about 150,000. get a bid on a rebuild. Roy

I have done some research on this particular transmission and have learned that many people have had spent a lot of money on repairs when it wasn't the transmission it self.... I only have 2 codes ...

my dodge caravan will not change out of first gear. It just started doing this. I checked the transmission fluid but it looked good and was not burnt looking.
