I recently have fixed a few issues on my car. After replacing the intake tube I started noticing problems with driving it. It is worse when it is has been sitting all night and go to drive it in the morning. It seems to be having a problem shifting into 5th gear or something. This morning I had this issue and stopped my car put it in park and continued driving it. And it was fine shifting into gears. However, after its shifted it will jolt very little but enough to notice. Also I've noticed the RPM's seem to be a little bit higher than it normally is. Please someone help!! :)

I think you may have an air leak resulting from the intake duct replacement. If so it would cause many problems so check that first. It could cause the driveability problem you mention and the shifting problems as well, I'd need more information, like are the check engine or check transmission light(s) on? I'm assuming you have checked the transmission fluid level and condition. The fluid should be clean, pink and clear, no burnt odor.
