transmission problem on 1994 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup

Transmission has no forward pull but goes in reverse without any problems. When shifted into any forward gear, does not engage, no change in engine rpm. What are the possible problems?

Your forward clutch inside your transmission is worn out. So, you need to have your trans taken apart to have the forward clutch repaired. This means taking the trans out of the vehicle. Most tranny's either have the forward or reverse clutch fail. I used to rebuild transmissions at dealerships both Ford and GM. I would take your truck to a good tranny shop. I assume that the fluid is up to the right level when the truck is warmed up and idling in Park on level ground?

Can a clogged trans. filter cause the transmission to slip??-this truck has 213,000 miles on it- had the origional tranny replaced at about 105,000 miles.
The RPM's go up but the transmission wont down shift and the vehicle is slow to accellerate
...s that there no problem with the panel. The mechanic then said it was most likely an internal transmission problem. Any ideas and on probable cause(s) and solution(s)?
