You would want to change the filter and fluid at same time, requires dropping trans pan for fluid drop and filter access. Make sure to reinstall correct fluid, the owners manual will give you spec, add 3 quarts to start and then start engine and let warm up, check fluid level as warms and add as needed. Do not overfill. If has never been flushed then may want to take to trans shop and have flushed at same time as filter change.
