How do I fill up transmission oil tank and how do I know when it's full?

  It's important that you follow the manufacturers instructions when checking and adding fluid, especially the type of fluid. I suggest getting a good repair manual, it will have this info for your specific vehicle, look at Bentley, they are the best for European cars: http://bit.ly/Bentley_Repair_Manuals

  The transmission on your vehicle is actually sealed for life. As is on most BMWs.
