2005 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Question: transmission not shifting correctly
Answer #1Russ April 15, 2009, 14:30Master
You may have a fault with one of your shift solenoids. There should be a fault code stored in your powertrain control module. Accessing the code or codes should help to diagnose your transmission fault.

I know you hate to hear this.... but if your vehicle is 4+ years old and about 80+ thousand miles and you pull a trailer.... you might wanna start making connections with the folks at Jasper for one of their rebuilt transmissions....
ask me how I know!!! :(
