transmission not shifting on 2002 Mitsubishi Galant

my transmission wont go into gear. when i accelerate it feels like im in neutral. i pulled the codes and it gave me PO 734

Unfortunately nearly always it is an internal transmission failure "gear 4 ratio incorrect". http://engine-codes.com/p0734_mitsubishi.html

thanks for the help. i took it to a tranny shop and they told me it had to be rebuilt

this needs a trans rebuild go to a shop you looking at about 1200-2400 look at cost of new vers rebuild sometimes new is better. find a ind. shop for better pricing franchise shops will be redicouls on cost
