2006 BMW X3 Question: transmission noise.

the noise comes when you are driveing at very slow speed or when you are stopping and it is heard even on neutral.My x3 is manual. -

it sounds like the pressure plate or/and clutch -

it doesent seam to be the cluth caus the noise seams to come from the transfer case or more backwords -

check the flex couplings first, these are the rubber plates that connect your drive shaft in different places, they are wearout items and need replaced sooner than your clutch -

the flex couplings were allready checked and they seem to be ok -

have the tranfer drain and check for debris, -
