2006 BMW X3 Question: transmission noise.

the noise comes when you are driveing at very slow speed or when you are stopping and it is heard even on neutral.My x3 is manual.

    it sounds like the pressure plate or/and clutch

    it doesent seam to be the cluth caus the noise seams to come from the transfer case or more backwords

    check the flex couplings first, these are the rubber plates that connect your drive shaft in different places, they are wearout items and need replaced sooner than your clutch

    the flex couplings were allready checked and they seem to be ok

    have the tranfer drain and check for debris,
