I have 130,000 miles and my transmission started slipping last year. I took it to Williamsburg Honda and they said I needed a new transmission. He said he would drive it until I could not drive it any more before replacing it. That is the only major problem I have. I don'tknow if it is worth it to replace it or to get a new vehicle.

Replacing your transmission is up to you. I tell my customers who are short on cash when something major is wrong with there vehicle to think of it this way, you can spend a few thousand, and have a great running vehicle after you get a new trans or motor, or you can spend $15,000 + to get a new vehicle. But when it comes down to it, you are the only one who can make that decision on whether to keep your car or sell it. Honda's are great vehicles and have great motors, my personal opinion would be to just replace the trans, and then either keep the car or sell it for a higher price now that you have the new trans.

Thank you very much for your fast response. If I do replace the transmission do you know what I should pay to have it repaired? I think they quoated me about $5000. That is why I was thinking on whether to repair it or not. I appreciate your response.
