This procedure can be messy. Also you will want to consider the current condition of the fluid in your transmission. If it is very dirty and you don't exchange ALL the fluid in your transmission you may cause further issues. Transmission fluid has alot of detergent in it. If lets say your transmission has a total of 12 quarts\ of fluid in it and you remove the pan and replace the filter you will probably drain about 4 quarts out. When you replace those 4 quarts and they mix with the remaining 8 quarts of dirty fluid the dirt that is suspended by the old fluid will drop into the pan and possibly plug the new filter. Consider taking your vehicle to a reputable shop and have the fluid professionally exchanged with specialty equipment. If you cannot find a shop near you we can help. The transmission is the second most expensive mechanical component in your vehicle.
    Good luck
