As I understand, all i have to really do is drop the pan and replace the gasket and filter. Should there be silicone added to the gasket and are there any major problems i should run into?

Thank you Sir. Nice car. I had a 71 Road Runner with a Hemi(old Hemi). What amount of fluid is tio be replaced after the filter and gasket is replaced? My primary MOS in the Marine Corps was a 3rd echalon Machanic, but the size of a transmission of one of those trucks is the size of a regular car. lol.

My book shows 3.5 to 4.1 quarts depending on which engine and drivetrain (2wd or 4wd) So put in 2 1/2 to 3 quarts and keep checking the level as you add fluid until its at the full mark
