RookieI brought my car in for recall repairs and to check overall status since the warranty was expiring. When I got the car back it was shaking when I would accelerate and having the exact problems described. I took it for brake pads and that wasn't the problem. However, they did tell me the bolts were loose on the front end, from the recall job. I took it back to the dealer to tell them it was having problems since I picked it up from them. They said they reset the transmission. I took it home, drove it to Vegas (about 3 hours away, made it home) was driving it the following weekend and it died, chekc engine light came on at an intersection and would not start. Tow truck took it back to the dealership. They had is three weeks, couldn't fix the problem, wound up putting a new transmission in the car based on GM's reccomendation. I received the car back and it stalled again at an intersection twice, both times I was able to restart.

Car would not accelerate and would not go into reverse. The dealership had it for 7 weeks and finally put a new transmission in it. It runs now but not the same.

Report #8Visitor, 2008 Buick Enclave, 45,700 mi
Have an 2008 Enclave at 45,700 miles and suddenly it feels like the transmission is stalling or sticking. Won't reverse and the the Transmission Hot Engine Light is on. Can smell the transmission fluid and can't go past 40 without loud engine noise. Is there something going on with the transmissions as a whole? any recalls for transmission problems?

Wife noticed the extremely hard/lift shifting for certain gears, but the vehicle continued to operate. We had it in the shop the next day. They had to dismantle everything to confirm the issue was the wave spring. It was an rebuilt transmission was not available, so they had to rebuild this one. Nearly $3k for a $6 part.
