Transmission Fault and/or Check Engine Light With Code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723 on Pontiac G6

Vehicles with a 6speed automatic transmission may develop one or more of the following faults related to a broken 35R clutch wave plate inside the transmission: Illumination of the Check Engine Light with code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723, loss of reverse gear, slipping or harsh 3rd or 5th gear shift. Removal and dis-assembly of the transmission will be required to replace the broken 35R wave plate. It is also extremely important that all debris from the failed part be cleaned from the transmission while it is disassembled in order to try and prevent future problems.

First no resverse, then it came back then Rmps going up not shifting. Transmission light on. Had transmission flushed. Transmission fluid was black with shed of pieses in it.. Idk what it was. Put new transmission fluid in didn't help.. Was told it was the solionoid b (speed sensor) .
2009 Pontiac G6 60,000 mi,
I have a 2009 G6 GXP and ever since I owned it I reported to several mechanics that it has a very bad harsh shifting and they all just went on a test drive with me and claimed it was normal. I had a hard time believing them all and now the car has 100,100mi on it and 4mo out of the 5yr warrenty and GM will not help nor will the dealerships. I'm very upset that I had to spend $4,000 to rebuild the tranny due to the broken wave plate. If it is that common in all these cars equipped with these 6 speeds I believe there should be some sort of re-call. I love the car and it is a rare car because Pontiac is no more around to make cars. But I don't think I will ever go with a GM car in the future if they are going to be pricks about it.
