I am reading where the transmission in these have a high failure rate. I just bought this car with 91k other than a little quick shifting around 37 mile an hour I haven't had any problems. I had a flush done on the transmission just to be safe at Volvo. They installed the 150.00 oil so do I need to get rid of this car or is the 25 whinners on the internet the only ones who have had this problem?

It is true that many of these transmission did fail, I couldn't say what that rate was though. The good news is that your made it this far, so that is a good sign. I would perform a fluid flush every 30K, and take it to the dealer or a good independent Volvo shop and have the software upgraded, that may resolve the erratic shifting around 37 mph. While your at it, have all the software in the vehicle updated.
