The tranbsmission does not shift, I still can drive but...

    Your transmission is probably failing and in "limp-in" mode which is designed to save the transmission and get you to a shop or home in case of system failure. It could have a control system failure or internal problems.
    If the check engine light is on, that's significant and indicating problems.
    I recommend taking it to a transmission shop or a Dodge specialist for diagnosis and estimate.
