transmission cover leak on 2006 Ford Taurus

how much does it cost to repair transmission cover and gasket ? on 2006 ford taurus we hit a big boulder we didnt see .

Go to this web site and put in 2006 taurus and scoll down and click on engine/transaxle and pick trans pan it sells for $31 I think you can purchase this at your ford dealer for about the same price, Then call around and find a shop that performs auto trans fluid and filter changes ( should run about $100 ) and tell them you will provide a new trans pan because yours is dented as they have to remove your pan to perform the trans service anyway. shouldn't be too expensive this way.

The engine oil pan gasket can develop a leak. Leaking oil may accumulate on the exhaust system resulting in a burning smell. Replacing the gasket should correct this leak.
