Transmission Cooling Senor where is it located on 1999 Ford Taurus

Happens when car is running for a long time on a hot day transmittion slipps sensor is not hooked found cable and plug by front bumper but dont know where the "sensor" is to plug it in.

there is no trans cooling sensor. the plug in the front is for an automatic dimmer which was an option and your car amy not have the option. as far as the trans slipping, you have an internal pressure issue. you need a trans shop to help you with that and give you a bid. thanks for using repairpal Roy

The sensor that you might be refering to is the outside ambient temperature sensor used the the climate control system. Roy is correct (as always) the transmission does not use this sensor and your concern is not related.
