Found fluid leaking mechanic said it was the transmission cillanoid. How much should it be to replace.

good. the soloniods are separate. there is a input speed sensor, output speed sensor and one that drives the odometer on the dash.
they are all external and not expensive to replace.
the most labor is 1.4 hours. the others are .9 hours.
did the shop give you a bid or give you the name of the failed parts?

The shop said it would take 1/2 a day to fix and quoted me $600.00. He said the soloniod was on top of the transmission.
the one on top pays 1 hour in labor plus the part. his estimate sounds high. get a second opinion before commiting.
