 Rookie

I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY TRANS.ONE MORNING WHEN IT HAD BEEN RAINING BAD I WENT TO THE STORE CAME OUT GOT IN MY CAR AND HAD NO REVERSE,JUST A LOW WINDING SOUND,WILL GO FORWARD BUT NO REVERSE,ONLY 89,000 MILES, IF I'M LOOSEING NO FLUID, COULD IT SYILL BE THE FILTER,ONE MICANIC IS TELLING ME 900.00 WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT

    Something may have failed inside the transmission but when that happens you usualy get some warning. I don't think it is the filter. Next step would be to have the proplem checked out by a good transmission shop.

    Sounds like possibly a broken reverse band. This can happen all at once with very little or no warning.

    the sun drum has cracked and the whining sound is the boken drum trying to engage the band,youll have to pull the trans and take it in
