Not necessarily, what it needs is a thorough diagnosis by someone experienced with this vehicle. Some newer vehicles require new software to fix some shifting problems, however only the dealer and some independents can perform this, so ask them to check this and if they can't, take it somewhere else.

Is there lose of power going up hills if so it is the catalyst it has broke up inside and blocks the exhaust it is covered in a 100,000 warranty if that is the case take it in and the will fix it good luck
