CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON. MY MECHANIC PLUGGED IN HANDHELD MACHINE AND RESULT COMES OUT TRANSMISSION . BUT CAR RUNS FINE?? ARE THERE SENSORS FOR THIS AND IF SO WHAT ARE THEY CALLED. THANXXXXX!!! AND ARE THERE ANY RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM...THANXXXXXXXXXXXXX

   Master

  There are many sensors and switches or solenoids on your Transmission. Any Diagnostic Codes in your Transmission Control Module (TCM) should be inspected, diagnosed and corrected before permanent transmission damage occurs.There are no Recalls pertaining to the transmission in your vehicle.
