I just bought a used 2004 BMW 325I auto tranny several days ago, and only put on less than 100 miles. It drove O.K until the transmission warning light comes on and limit the vehicle in 3rd and 4th gear. Would it be a serious problem ? Do I need to replace a new tranny ? By the way. should the dealer need to take care that problem even I didn't buy any warranty from them... Please help me...

No matter where you purchased this, they should take care of this for you. Call them immediately and let them know what is happening, and get it in there as soon as possible. It's hard to say what is happening and how bad it is, but they will figure that out.

Thank you bretb... I called them and they agreed to had my vehicle towed back to their dealership. But after 4 days, I still got no news at all. When I call the saleman, he told me to call the service department and no need to call him again.....Service department told me my vehicle is in other inspection center and will call me later...bah bah bah...I'm totally pissed and really don't know what to do next....it seems they really don't care or even fix the problem...
