 Rookie

i put a new clucth in my 1997 jetta and i cant get it to go in the right gears the selector rod was pulled out but put back know it grinds when i try to put it in the gears

  Grinding indicates a clutch that is not functioning properly. It's really hard to know what is wrong, you may need to remove the transmission to find out why this is happening.
