Transfer Case Repair on 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee

How much should it cost for the repair of a transfer case on this car? We have be quoted anywhere from 1900 all the way up to 2700. Being that it's a 95 I don't want to spend tons of money on it.

Call your local wrecking yards thats what they do is sell parts from wrecked vehicles everyday, Once you locate your transfer case and before you purchase it call a few repair shops and get estimates to remove and replace it, Make sure it has some kind of warranty from the wrecking yard. This is the least expensive way to solve your transfer case problem. Most shops have a connection at wrecking yards to purchase used drivetrain parts as our cars are just a combination of used components anyway.
