Question: transfer case out put shaft

out put shaft on transfer case moves up and down.Feels like something is broke.

    If play is noted at the output shaft of the transfer case where the drive shaft slides in on your 2002 Chevrolet Suburban it could be due to a worn output shaft bushing. This would most times be accompanied by a leak from the output shaft seal. If the seal is not leaking and there is no abnormal noise I would question whether or not the play is excessive. You may wish to have a qualified technician inspect the problem area and confirm there is indeed a problem.

    I did talk to a tech. He suggested pulling the drive shaft from the transfer case and lube real well. It has done the trick! So far! Thanks for your answer.
