I have a Ford Expedition and the transfer case is leaking on a 2003 model. Plus the transmission is hitting when i go down the interstate? I can feel the transmission hit like someone hit the steering wheel with a hammer or like a pulse. and the tranfer case is leaving oil in my driveway. Please advise -- appreciate it.

Your transfer case can actually be doing the "hitting" too. Depends. If there is an internal issue, it can pop and cause drag. I recommend a good diagnosis from a qualified local mechanic. Here's a list you can consult: http://repairpal.com/directory?address=53531&car_brand_names=Ford
What should the average cost be to have a leak in the transfer case repaired? Also, is the transfer case considered a part of the power train?
The leak looks like it is coming from the bottom of the case wear the front and rear two pieces come together. I am assuming their is a seal that is gone between them. How would I go about replacin...
It idles high in park and runs rougly. I've never had any major maintanance done besides hose replacement and oil changes. What maintanance should be done by 70,000 mile mark?
Just started leaking out of on where. ..how much is this going to cost me and can I do it my self..
