You should have your vehicle inspected by your local dealership , Transmission Specialty Shop or reputable repair facility. They would have to access the information stored in your Transmission Control Module with a scan tool and diagnosis from there. It may be as simple as a sensor, wiring or as complex as an entire transmission overhaul or replacement, which ever is more cost effective. I was replacing the shift lever on a 41te the shaft it was on pulled up and now that I have replaced the lever an return the shaft into the trans. The lever does not seem to click through the gear...
