Question: tranny wont work in rev. but fine in foward

You can feel it ingage but wont even try to move is it possiable to fix less than total rebuild 147000 miles

    sounds like the reverse band may have went bad. it can be repaired without a total rebuild. But still requires most of the same labor. There is also a forward /reverse solenoid the would be a cheaper fix. Do you have any check engine light or service soon lights on????
