1998 Ford Explorer Question: Tranny to shift or not to shift?

Transmition sometimes takes very long to shift. has been dong this for over a year now. I figure it would go out but trany still holding in there. Just soem days i am sceard to pull out into traffic. and some times it shifts fine. I am thinking has to be a sensor.. any help ? -
Answer 1
Well you need to diagnose the Transmission meaning take it to a shop and ask to have a transmission diagnostic if any sensors are bad they will get a code another thing you may do is buy a scantool and do it yourself. -
