recently had problems starting vehicle took 5 minutes but did start and seeemed to have been floded. I held gas pedal down and finally started and clearing raw fuel out. sounded different when starting it initially. but starts fine now. Only problem that started after this was shift point on tranny have changed. It seems to be overrevving by at least 5-10 mph. no tach but can hear it is overevving . no problem before starting issue with tranny.

Is there a Check Engine/Service Engine Soon light on? If so codes stored in the computer of your car will indicate where the problem may lay. The engine probably ran rough after clearing itself of what ever caused the engine to "flood" or "loose spark" but I would image this should have set a code. This should not have affected transmission shift points, nor would a transmission problem effect the engine starting.

no check engine light at all. I will be going to local auto parts to have ecu scanned and see if there is something that is is not showing up with the light. Maybe light is malfunctioning .
