The Nissan manual transmission has no dipstick like on an automatic transmission. The gear oil is checked from underneath the car. The clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder are what "separate" the drive between the engine and transmission when your foot on the clutch pedal. Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder reservoir it is next to the brake master cylinder reservoir and also uses b/fluid.
