1999 Toyota 4Runner Question: Trailer lights don't work on my 4 Runner. Running lights work, no turn signals

My trailer lights are fine so I know it is in the vehicle. I tried changing the converter box thinking that was the ticket, but I still have the same issue. I also checked the fuses as well. What should I try next?

Thanks!!
Brock

Using a test light pin out the connectors at the trailer socket see that you have power on tail lights left turn, right turn, brake lights, tail ect.... After that you need to check the wining at the vehicle. Is the wiring Toyota or aftermarket, if after market check for bad crimp connectors. You need a wiring diagram specific to your year/model to trace the wiring. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Alldata is very easy to navigate http://bit.ly/AllData_Repair_Manuals_Online
or look on line for "wiring diagram 1999 Toyota 4Runner".
