It sounds like you are having a problem with your ignition lock cylinder or the anti-theft system. If the security light is flashing on the dash when your Trailblazer won't start that would indicate a theft system issue. You may have a worn key causing the ignition lock to be hard to turn. You can try a new key and see if that works. If you don't have a new key have one made using the key codes derived from your "VIN" number. Don't have a new key made by coping your old worn out key that will not help the situation. If none of this helps then you may need the help of a qualified technician to diagnose your problem.

I had this happen to me as well. It would also get stuck in park when the car was turned on, and I could not get the key out. Turned out I was having problems with a grounding wire under the shifter. It affected my ignition, shifting, and a ton of other little items in the car. It was an easy fix once they found the problem.

I have been having the same problem with it not starting. Run fine for a week then all of a sudden it won't start. Nothing. Dash lights are on, radio works, but nothing. My code came back with an issue with the throttle. My husband took the throttle off (you can find instructions to do this online), totally cleaned it, then he disconnected the battery, checked and cleaned all the connections(with a spray for electrical that u can get at auto zone) reconnect the battery wait 15 minutes for everything to reset then take it for a drive and get it up to 40 mph. At first is sputtered a bit, now I turn the key to the first position wait to a count of 10 turn it to the second position and wait for the ding to stop and it starts!!! YEAH!! It has been 6 days with it starting. So I hope this is the end of the problem. Hope this helps everyone out there!!!
